I absolutely love working with new families to capture the early days of their baby at home. When the M. family reached out to me about their new little boy’s arrival and a lifestyle newborn session in their Baltimore home, I was thrilled. We immediately got to chatting and planning. I can’t wait to show you their cozy lifestyle newborn session today!

Before we get too far, I just have to say… these three get a gold star for following my newborn session prep guide and blog post! Their 2 month old had a bottle and bath prior to my arrival before he was swaddled… and he immediately fell asleep for our portraits. It was perfect! We were able to work in his nursery which was full of natural light. His parents snuggled him in their rocker and Baby M. just snoozed away! His mama looked incredible in a dress from my client’s closet. Before the session, I FaceTimed with her to show her some of my favorite postpartum dresses in the client closet. I bought a few with me and I just loved the one she picked. It looked amazing on her!

After his nap, Baby M. woke up and was a super curious little guy. He was interested in my camera and what I was doing. It was adorable! While he was awake, his parents wanted his hair before it falls out in the back and his excitement and smile during a diaper change to be documented. I thought it was so sweet. Knowing those little moments that mean the most to your family are important for me to share!
