I can’t say it enough: I LOVE lifestyle newborn sessions. These sessions are always so much fun and they’re a great way to see how families are in their natural environments. Being at home means way less stress for everyone – especially new parents and big siblings who want some extra attention, too. This sweet newborn lifestyle session in Rockville, Maryland to welcome Baby E home was absolutely gorgeous and I’m thrilled for you to see it today!

When I’m photographing a lifestyle session, one of my favorite parts is capturing your family in their natural element. That was definitely true for this beautiful family. I truly enjoyed getting to spend time with them. They’ve got so much energy and love pouring out between them, it’s a gift to witness. Honestly, we were laughing and chit chatting all along the way. It was like we were all old friends.  

I photographed the four of them in their living room, but also E’s nursery. I found out that the cradle had been passed down through the family, which makes it even more special to capture her there. Her big sister was so happy to be able to show off E and made sure to be nearby, no matter where we were. She definitely kept the energy up, singing Disney songs and making up her own lyrics. It was adorable! Baby E was so happy and laid back, it made the entire session even better.
