Lake Kittamaqundi Maternity Photos with Howard County MD Photographer

The H Family is just the sweetest! They’re about to welcome baby #2, so we met for a gorgeous Lake Kittamaqundi maternity photos together to celebrate this big life change. Both mom and dad are nature lovers (and so is their little girl!), so it was important to find somewhere that would speak to their family. Lake Kittamaqundi is absolutely gorgeous and the family used to live here, so it was perfect!

Before the session, this family filled out their client questionnaire for me. This questionnaire helps ensure that I can create a session that is perfectly tailored to your family – and it helps me get to know everyone a bit better… especially the little ones. Their little girl is only 17 months old, so I wanted to know what she likes so we could keep her attention. Lake Kittamaqundi is full of families walking with their pups – and this little girl loves dogs, so we knew we could count on some furry faces to make her smile. And that they did! She lit up every time she saw a pup and was super cuddly with mom and dad in between. It was adorable to watch. 

One of the other things I learned is that mama is an avid knitter. She actually brought the baby blanket she’s working on for the new baby. I LOVED including her hobby and joy into these photos! As we worked, I could sense this family’s anticipation of what’s to come. Going from one baby to two is a huge transition and I know there’s always lots of anxiety about it all. Despite that, the joy they feel is palpable. I hope that these photos will always give them a glimpse back at life in the throes of this transition.
