Pregnancy Announcement at Ellicott City’s Castlebridge Farm with DC and Maryland Family Photographer

This summer, I had the joy of capturing this family’s newest family photos and a pregnancy announcement at Castlebridge Farm. I love visiting Castlebridge Farm and they were so kind enough to let us enjoy their peony field for this family photo session. I couldn’t be more grateful! As soon as mom told me that she loved photos of parents and their babies exploring flower gardens, I knew this would be the perfect spot to make their big announcement!

Pregnancy Announcement at Castlebridge Farm

This sweet family of three is about to be a family of four! They’re expecting another boy this fall and were so excited to capture new photos to share their big news. I know mom and dad are excited for this change – and anxious to see how their little boy is going to transition into being a big brother. During our session, mom shared that she wanted photos of the three of them as well as the pregnancy announcement, because it was important to document how life is now and their relationship with their oldest.

Mom and Dad shared how much they adore their baby boy. Being outdoors – in parks, on walks, and playing tag – are all things they do often as a family. We made sure to include some of those familiar activities during our photos among the peonies. Their son also enjoyed just simply viewing the flowers around him and checking out the pink blooms. It wound up being a lovely spot for him to do so! Although his parents warned me that their little guy might be super serious until he got comfortable with me, he was enjoying his time with his dad being silly and the snuggles with his mom. Capturing their relationships are what was most important to me (and mom!), and I think we were able to do it so naturally together.

I’m so happy I could capture what life looks like at this moment for this family of three – and their big news, too!
