Annapolis MD Lifestyle Newborn Portraits at Home

One of the best things about being a family photographer is documenting moments for other families. When these families are ones that I’ve known for years, the job becomes even more meaningful and special to me. This sweet family is one of those families! I’ve known this mama for many years. We were neighbors growing up – and I consider her to be like a little sister to me. When she asked me to photograph her first little girl almost four years ago, I was absolutely thrilled. Now that their family has welcomed their second little girl, everything has come very full circle! I photographed the arrival of their new little girl during their Annapolis MD lifestyle newborn session and just like four years ago, I was very honored to be there.

I can’t believe I was at this house almost four years ago photographing this big girl! Time moves so fast.

Now, she’s a big sister – and she is definitely in love with her little sister! Like OBSESSED in the most adorable way. She loved showing off Baby M. to me and was absolutely wonderful during our session. Anyway, you can tell these three are just over the moon to have Baby M. at home with them. That’s one of my favorite things to capture in a lifestyle session – the absolute adoration and love that comes with a new baby at home. 

Dad was working from home so we were able to do photos with him at the beginning of the session. It was a great way to start everything off and I loved watching him with his girls. Mom borrowed a dress from my client closet for herself and for her older daughter. They both looked amazing with all of the neutral backdrops we found within the house. Even though I have been in their home before, I realized there were two amazing spots of window light that I didn’t use before.
