Based in Howard County, Maryland, Christina Tundo Photography serves all the definitions of family within the DMV area, preserving the authentic moments, both big and small, that you want to hold onto forever.
During childhood, there’s so many special moments that should be documented for your baby. It’s common to see photographers offering sessions at newborn, 6 months, and 12 months. Personally, my favorite time to photograph infants is between 7 and 10 months. This is such a fun age! Babies are smiling a lot more and you can start to see their personality shining through. As a photographer who chases a lot of toddlers, I also love that they aren’t escaping from me yet because they’re still learning to sit up and crawl! Today, I want to talk more about when to schedule milestone portraits for your baby – and a little bit about what to expect!
Milestone sessions are always a great time. Your little one gets to be the center of attention – rightfully so – and we capture what marks this new stage unique. These sessions are often simple and sweet. I like being able to just focus on your baby without the mess of lots of props or fancy locations. An open field, your favorite blanket, and your baby are all you need to capture new portraits. While there’s age recommendations (like I mentioned above), I’m all about scheduling portraits when they matter to you. So if that’s a certain time or a certain milestone, let’s talk about your own milestone session!
This beautiful family reached out because their little guy is growing bigger every day. Right now, he has the cutest little squishy legs and they wanted to capture this stage forever. I LOVE that his little legs inspired them to reach out and plan a session. Whatever it is about your little one that inspires you to get portraits inspires me, too… and I’ll definitely make sure to capture it all!
Christina did an amazing job with our family photos. From the first time we spoke--she was incredibly thoughtful, organized and detail oriented to ensure the session would be a success.. – Katie A.
