Lifestyle Newborn Session in Annapolis Maryland

Sometimes you meet a family and just know that you were meant to work with them. This sweet family is definitely one of those clients! When I got the referral from another local photographer and chatted with them, I became so excited to photograph their lifestyle newborn session. As we discussed their needs and hopes for the session, Mama explained that she wanted lots of candid and natural moments captured. That’s my goal every session but to hear a client tell me that’s what they’re hoping for is just like a match made in heaven!

When I arrived at their home, I was just blown away. Not only was their home beautiful but they were all just so relaxed and ready to go with the flow. As I wandered through the house, I found their guest bedroom and it had the prettiest light! We decided to have most of our session in that space because it was just perfect for what we needed! You’d probably never believe me that they don’t actually have a nursery for their baby girl right now. It just reminded me that no matter what your house has (or doesn’t), a lifestyle session is absolutely possible!!! 

The kids were absolutely wonderful for me during our portraits. Their son was a total ham and a great listener, so he made my job super easy! And their sweet baby girl slept so deeply that I’m not even sure she knew I was there. We took our time and allowed her to stay comfortable with her parents! Her mama borrowed a dress from my client closet which took their portraits to another level, too. Since their baby girl was so asleep, we went ahead and tried to capture some solo portraits. I don’t always do this the opportunity presented itself, so I took advantage of it!
