Congratulations to this new family of three! I’m so happy I had the chance to document their laidback newborn lifestyle session. When Mom and Dad reached out, they told me that they wanted to document how small their little one was as a newborn and always have a way to remember the time when it was just the three of them. What better reasons are there for planning a newborn session?

Newborn Lifestyle Photography in Maryland

The goal of any newborn lifestyle session is to document your family as you are in this moment. Whether that’s your favorite activity – like a walk around the neighborhood, reading your special book, or cuddles on the couch – I want to create keepsakes that you’ll treasure forever. That’s one of the reasons I was so happy to work with this sweet family of three. They spent time cuddling with their newborn baby boy during our session. Dad also brought out his guitar and it’s easy to see that their son already loves his music!

Mom told me that her style is pretty minimal – mostly neutrals with a pop of color or patterns. As you probably know by now if you’ve been around awhile, I do too! I love focusing on a family’s sweetest moments and their connection above all else. Neutral spaces and outfits help eliminate distractions in your final photos. For this session, we focused on their living space and their son’s nursery the most. It’s where they spend a lot of their time now – but also the spaces that get the best light.
