Fall Maternity Portraits in Ellicott City | Shannon & Carly
Is it possible to have too much fun during a session? I mean, I’m pretty sure the answer is “no”, especially when you’re working with people as fantastic as Carly and Shannon. These two are expecting their first baby and I’m so honored that they chose me to photograph their fall maternity portraits here in Ellicott City, Maryland. We had a chilly fall day for our session, but it was still a dream come true.

Carly is a spectacular wedding photographer in the area, so when she reached out I was definitely excited. I love photographing all families, but when I get to work with other photographers, it’s extra special and meaningful. And like I said, Carly and Shannon are definitely pretty special people, too. I loved watching the two of them together. It was chilly and windy, but Shannon was so attentive to Carly, making sure she stayed warm and cozy in her beautiful maternity dress!
We all loved the fall leaves that were around the Shrine of St. Anthony’s during our session, but my favorite spot was the edge of the parking lot. It was pretty funny, because when Carly photographs weddings, she often loves posing her couples along the edge of parking lots, too. You can get some really incredible backdrops that way! So, it seemed fitting that we wound up photographing a lot of our favorite portraits right there.
I am so thrilled for these two mothers on their upcoming arrival. Shannon is going to be the best mom and Carly is going to be the best mama. I can’t wait to meet their new little one! It’s clear their sweet baby is going to be so loved, and I’m just so happy for this beautiful family!!
