As a mom of two myself, this beautiful Baltimore lifestyle family session at Star Bright Farm really holds a special place in my heart. You might think that family photos with two littles ones under two is a recipe for disaster, but this family was absolutely wonderful and reminded me how meaningful lifestyle sessions really are. They’re not about controlling the chaos, instead it’s about honoring it.

Lifestyle Family Session at Dandelion Farm

We met in a field at Star Bright Farm that was full of dandelions and wildflowers. It was a beautiful backdrop for the special moments that wound up unfolding. From the very start, these parents brought such a calm, grounded energy. No rushing, no stressing. Just holding their babies, taking in the moment, and letting things unfold. It was a chance to slow down and be present as a family. They trusted me to capture what was happening without stressing that it wasn’t “enough”. This sweet family of four definitely reminded me that presence beats perfection every time! With less stress in the air, their girls were able to play and spend time with their parents.

Mom used my styling service, Style and Select and borrowed a piece from my client closet. It was a great starting point for choosing everyone else’s outfits, and truly I think they came together so beautifully. In addition to the muted tans and greens in everyone’s attire, the family brought a lovely lace blanket that we used for photos of the girls together. It was a great spot to let them chill out together and have some time together without mom and dad holding them.

We played, we walked, we laughed and smiled. It was a gorgeous afternoon together with such a beautiful family! This session was a reminder that lifestyle photography really allows those authentic emotional moments to bloom into something beautiful, honest, and full of heart (that I promise I’ll capture so you can just enjoy it all!).
