This sweet couple are expecting their first baby and they asked me to document a beautiful lifestyle maternity session in their Silver Spring home. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph – or a better home to do it all in. Their Silver Spring MD home is super cozy, with bright colors and lots of their personalities throughout. It was so special to be welcomed into their home. I feel lucky to document this next chapter of their family’s story during their Silver Spring maternity lifestyle photos.

When I began to talk with mom and dad about what they wanted from their maternity photos, they told me that having the photos done in their home was important to them. This is their space – where they feel best. Their home is a true reflection of the world they’ve created and are bringing their baby into. I can’t express how much I love that sentiment! The moment I stepped foot into their home, I felt so inspired to capture their beautiful relationship and the changes they’re experiencing with this pregnancy.

The parents-to-be are huge readers – their ideal weekend would include cuddling up to read, visiting a coffee shop and maybe even some art exhibits. With that in mind, I worked to document them together, how they always are. We featured their favorite books on the couch, as well as some sweet moments of them sitting together and just showcasing the love that they have for each other. I can tell these two are going to be incredible parents just by the way they care and love already!
