This beautiful Bethesda new life session was special to me. The C family wanted to document the arrival of their new little girl and the relationship with her big sister. They shared that their older daughter arrived during the height of the COVID pandemic and they weren’t able to capture photos of her first days at home. So, it was extra important to capture their new baby’s first days at home – and how their oldest daughter is adjusting to being a big sister. She loves “her baby” and it was so clear during our session how proud she is to be the older sister!
For the C family, it was most important to have candid photos together in their home – showing how much fun they have together. It was also important to have photos of ALL four of them, as usually mom or dad is behind the camera and out of the frame. As a mom myself, I totally get how quickly that happens – and time goes by without you ever realizing there’s not enough photos of you and your children.
Their oldest daughter is a Swiftie. For almost the entire session we were listening to Taylor Swift and it helped our time stay super playful and full of good energy! I’m always a fan of listening to music or doing activities that make your kiddos feel more relaxed. Everyone played and snuggled together on the couch for our session and I was able to document every interaction and relationship. It was SO special!
Congratulations to the C family on the new arrival. It was incredible to spend the morning with this family – and document both of their beautiful babies.
