I absolutely adored working with the K family in their beautiful Clarksville, Maryland home! When mom reached out to me about schedule portraits to capture her three children’s personalities and love for each other, I couldn’t wait. We decided lifestyle family photos at home would be the best fit for all of them. After seeing the incredible photos we got of the five of them, I think it was definitely the right call!

Family sessions with a three year old can be chaotic – but I always love it. Kids, especially at a young age, are lots of fun to photograph. This little guy was moving most of our session and everyone had a blast with it. His siblings were so great with him and I loved capturing the three of them together more than any other pairings during the session.There’s something about seeing your children captured in time. And these three are definitely full of love for each other!

One of mom’s other requests were photos of her and her husband, which is always something we make time for during family photos. While the big family and even smaller groupings are important to me, I want to be sure I always capture parents together, and each kid alone. It’s a great way to make sure you’re capturing all of your family’s growth and changes.

This entire session was a blast. The K family’s home is stunning and provided beautiful options for our photos. I loved the images towards the end of the kids playing in the kitchen and everyone loving each other. Those moments are what make my job worth it (and the best in the world!).
