Mommy & Me Photos in Peony Field | Gaithersburg, Maryland Family Photographer
M and E are the cutest! During my peony parenthood portraits (which are always super popular) in Gaithersburg, I photographed M and E in a mommy and me session. Mom realized that she doesn’t have a lot of photos of just her and her kids, so she planned a session for her and her little girl. E is her youngest baby and her “mini me”, so they planned a fun photo session in the peonies! It wound up being the perfect little photo session for them together.

Before the session, mom filled out my questionnaire so I had some idea of how to help her and E during their photos. This is a great time for me to learn what your little ones like so I know what music to have queued up and what we can talk about. I love engaging kids with their own interests – it helps us have a calmer and happier session overall. E loves to sing and play with bubbles, two things that are right up my alley! But honestly, she was just happy to be able to snuggle up with mom and look at the beautiful flowers.
Both ladies looked amazing. Mom chose pale gowns for them that looked beautiful with the pink flowers everywhere. I loved finding ways to show off their relationship together – from letting them just explore, to encouraging them to lay down right on the sidewalk together. It was easy to see how much they love being together and I adored watching them – especially as a girl mom, myself. Thank you for asking me to capture these special moments. I’m so happy I was able to give M and E new portraits of their beautiful relationship.
