Based in Howard County, Maryland, Christina Tundo Photography serves all the definitions of family within the DMV area, preserving the authentic moments, both big and small, that you want to hold onto forever.
Once your family photos session and your gallery is delivered, what do you do? Oftentimes, we download our favorites, share them online, and forget about the gallery sitting in our inbox. Look, I’ve been there too. Life gets busy! So, that’s why I want to share what to do once your gallery is delivered, so that you can make the most of your investment in family photos! Before I dive in, I have to get a shout out to this family, Jessica Buswell, another local photographer because she followed all of these steps and inspired me to share this little piece of education with my incredible families!
First and foremost, download your images from the online gallery you receive from your photographer. Be sure to download the high resolution images, as they will be better for sharing, printing, and displaying in your home. Sometimes this can take a little bit of time till you receive the email, but just plan to download the high resolution images either way!
Although online galleries are great, I recommend backing up your images in at least one other place.Sometimes galleries expire, and it would be awful if you couldn’t get to your photos again later! I use Google Drive because that preserves the size of the image.
This step is definitely inspired by Jessica! She had a plan in her mind with empty frames in her hallway that they would be filled with prints from our session. I love offering a variety of classic options to print and display your photos – see them here! Once you’ve reviewed your gallery, take a moment to actually print your photos through our high quality printers so you can enjoy those photos for years to come.
After your session is over and your gallery is delivered, it’s the perfect time to review your photographer! Oftentimes, they will have a few links where you can fill out a quick review about how everything went. If they don’t give you the links, look for their Facebook and Google pages for reviews. Some photographers also send a follow up questionnaire about your session. Whatever it is, fill it out! Reviews go a long way for small businesses and it’s one of the easiest ways to support your favorite photographer!
After your session, share some of your favorite moments on social media in a way that’s comfortable for your family! Be sure to tag the photographer you worked with, and even sharing about your experience can go a long way too. Reviews and social proof really are magic for small business owners!!
There you go – just a few simple steps to make the most of your family photo investment. Take the time to download and preserve the memories you’ve worked to create with your favorite family photographer. And definitely don’t forget to find ways to display your new beautiful images at home, too!
